Book a trip today and experience Sportfishing and Trophy Striped Bass fishing throughout all of Long Island Sound!
It was a very up and down 2018 fishing season, the highlights were big blues in May and June then they disappeared unfortunately. The we had a fast and furious run of bigger stripers in July and then we were left with our most consistent fall fishery....Albies! All in all it was a decent year but I am hoping for better local action this year and really keeping my fingers crossed that we get our summer and fall gator bluefish action back! Fluke and sea bass action were just OK with much better action in eastern CT and RI waters. The fall run of resident bass didn't return to the Housy until December and that is the only local striped bass fishery available right now if you need to wet a line. The local trout fishing remains good to excellent as the weather has warmed up a little after a frigit November and early December. Check out the last 2018 fishing report!
Below - October - My grandson Colton with his first Albie at 4 years old, not too shabby!
This trophy striped bass caught in LI Sound below was released quickly and measured 54" with a girth of 33" which according to the IGFA formula puts this fish at over 70lbs., and what makes this fish extra special is that it was caught in local CT waters in less than 10 feet of water!

This is an addictive pursuit and our success rate on stripers over 30lbs. is second to none in the Western Long Island Sound with fish up to 58 lbs. locally in the past several seasons.
The 62.5 lb. striped bass above was weighed in at the Block Island Boat Basin and caught by Heather Elser in less than 20 feet of water. Should have made it official as it could have been a women's world record!
